To evenly distribute heat, the food grate has holes, and slots in the grate accept a single divider, creating two sections in the unit. Its thermostat is preset to 190 degrees Fahrenheit, while the temperature can be lowered by accessing the thermostat with tools. Maintaining food crispiness, the Carter-Hoffmann CNH14 fry dump station heats with forced air to maintain food's crispiness. For simplified maintenance and cleanup, the heater can be removed.
